Peafowl, also knows as Peacocks are easily recognizable by their gorgeous ornamental tail feathers. They're incredibly easy to raise and the most common varieties found on farms are the Javanese, also called green fowl, Congo peafowl, and Indian Blue peafowl.

How do you take care of Peachicks?

Peachicks are raised in a manner similar to chicken chicks; they need to be in a draft-free brooder for the first 8 weeks, kept warm and with access to fresh water and turkey or gamebird starter feed at all times.

How long does it take Peachicks to grow?

At 2 to 3 months, peachicks begin to develop their crest feathers. At around five months, male juveniles begin to develop coloured chests. Until the age of 1, the juveniles will still possess virtually none of the striking tail feathers that make adult peacocks so strikingly beautiful. What is this?

We use a concentration of 6ml of Ivomec per five litres of water. For smaller quantities use 1.2ml of Ivomec per litre of water. The water should be changed every day and the peacocks should be treated for three days. We worm our peachicks when they are one week old.
